This cemetery is located just south of Russell Village, on the south side of the Castor River. It appears to have been developed in two stages as there is a deep gully running diagonally through the middle of it, leaving in effect two small cemeteries, one on each side of the gully. The cemetery is well maintained.

An analysis of the 102 tombstones provides a wealth of information. The earliest burials appear to have occurred during the period 1850 to 1865.

The earliest birth date indicated by the stones is of John PILLER, born 1793, died 1885. He was 92 years of age and also a veteran of the War of 1812.

The frequency of names which was obtained from the index of names in the cemetery shows PILLAR with a majority of 33 names, followed by EASTMAN with 25 names, and then FADER and CHERRY with 20 each.
