The Ketcheson Family history is a genealogical study of twelve generations of the descendants of William and Sally Ayr Ketcheson. Thier son William Ketcheson, born in Yorkshire, England, was destined to become the progenitor of the widespread family largely responsible for a considerable share of the development of what later became the Province of Ontario in the Dominion of Canada. This 10 year research project was undertaken by Jim Ketcheson of Belleville, Ontario and the Ketcheson Family Book Committee. Their work resulted in a tome of 1181 pages, crammed with information for 10,976 direct descendants. Of great value is the index of 25,000 names (direct descendants, spouses & collateal lines) with multiple page references for most. The book was originally distributed in printed and case bound format. Only one new hard cover copy remains from that printing.

The book is designed in a descendant "register report" format, providing names, vital records including births marriages deaths burials, family relationshsips, locations and notes about individuals and individual family groups. Also included are appendix items that add greatly to the information that the reader can discover about the Ketcheson line.

The digital version provides that entire book in pdf format plus additional valuable information. The book can be printed on your home printer, for your use. This fully searchable CD contains every page of the original 1180 page Ketcheson Family History book, PLUS a radio interview about the Ketcheson family that you can listen to on your computer, and an additional picture of the 2000 family reunion in Ontario. The Radio Program "OUTFRONT" is included on this CD and may be heard by double-clicking on the name of the file once it appears in your desktop. The radio program contains an interesting interview about the Ketcheson Family.

In addition, an early Irish Atlas has been scanned and included in .pdf format so that researchers can use its many maps to locate the places mentioned in both the book and in the radio interview.
