FamilySearch Indexing Update & New Indexing Resource Guide Posted 19 February 2009 By Paul Nauta, Public Affairs Manager, FamilySearch.org New Indexing Resource Guide During the most recent update to the FamilySearch Indexing Web site, a resource guide was added under the Help tab. This page is a quick reference tool for finding answers to most indexing questions. It includes resources for indexers, arbitrators, group administrators, and stake extraction directors. It also includes language resources, such as handwriting helps for English, Latin, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, and Dutch. To find the resource guide, go to www.familysearchindexing.org, click on the Help tab, and then click Publications. Recently Completed Projects Note: Recently completed projects have been removed from the available online indexing batches and will now go through a final completion check process in preparation for future publication.

Public Affairs Manager FamilySearch.org About FamilySearch: FamilySearch is a nonprofit organization that maintains the world's largest repository of genealogical resources. Patrons may access resources online at FamilySearch.org or through the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, and over 4,500 family history centers in 70 countries. FamilySearch is a trademark of Intellectual Reserve, Inc. and is registered in the United States of America and other countries. Volunteer a little of your time: The free data on the FamilySearch website is transcribed by an impressive force of volunteer indexers worldwide (see www.familysearchindexing.org). Volunteers donate a little time each week or month transcribing select information from digital images of original source documents using FamilySearch's online indexing utility. Anyone interested in joining the global, community-based indexing initiative, or wanting to see what projects are currently being indexed, can do so at www.familysearchindexing.org. Experience is welcome but not necessary. Rick Roberts, GlobalGenealogy.com Canadian Genealogy & History Resources from Global Genealogy:
