Some Hampshire and Suffolk, England Burial Now Online Published: 10 February 2009 By: Rick Roberts, Biography & Archived Articles John D. Reid (Anglo Celtic Connections) blogs that "Some Hampshire and Suffolk burials are now online". For those who are not familiar with John, his blog is always populated with great bits of information and interesting sources focusing on British Isles family history research plus general news items for genealogists and history buffs. Today's posting introduces two resources that are new to me. Hampshire: The first is a resource on the Hampshire County Council website that provides free access to search data from some Hampshire cemetery registers, from Bishopstoke, Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh, Fareham, Locks Heath, Portchester, Sarisbury, Stubbington and Titchfield. Suffolk: The second website provides records of Suffolk burials transcribed into a database made public on the Waveney District Council website. Those records include burials at cemeteries in Beccles, Belle Vue Park, Bungay, Halesworth, Kirkley, Lowestoft, Southwold and Wrentham. All are free. John adds "Information returned is typically: cemetery, grave, surname, name, burial date, address, age and for some occupation".
