ABOUT THE POST-1901 CENSUS PROJECT (Canada) The Post-1901 Census Project is co-ordinated by a volunteer chairman and formalized committee representing constituents from every province and territory in Canada. The people who are in this effort include private citizens, casual family historians, genealogists, historians, social historians, geographers, geneticists, senators, members of parliament, lawyers and others from every walk of life. Supporting organizations include genealogical societies, heritage groups and historical societies. Others from around the world, who have roots in Canada, have demonstrated a keen interest in this project with their letters, emails and donations to the legal fund. A significant portion of the cost of preparation and pursuit of a favorable legal ruling is being supported by volunteer researchers and lawyers who are donating thier time and resources. However there are a number of direct expenses involved in a legal action that need to be funded.
