BOOK - The Parish Registers of Births, Marriages, Deaths of St. Regis Roman Catholic Mission (Early Jesuit) 1784-1879 [Hogansburg , New York]
Compiled by Duncan MacDonald
Originally published by MacDonald Research Centre, Brockville, 1989
This edition published by MacDonald Research*, Milton, 2010 (CD 2012)
*MacDonald Research is an imprint of GlobalGenealogy.com Inc.
This pair of books contain the transcribed Baptism, Burial and Marriage registers of St. Regis Roman Catholic Mission of Hogansburg , New York which began as an early Jesuit Mission that served Roman Catholics in South Glengarry Township (Ontario), the area in New York State that is on the American side of the St. Lawrence River, and to the east in the province of Quebec. South Glengarry Township is in the present-day united counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry in the Canadian province of Ontario.
Mr. MacDonald created the paper masters for these books in the 1980s using a photocopier. The publisher (2010) has digitally cleaned the masters to the best that they can be, reproducing the work onto high quality paper using the latest digital print technology. The result is quite readable, though some photographs and photocopies of documents are not at the standard that we expect today.
