    Alaska
    • The Alaska and Western Canada Photograph Collection ( free ) University of Washington Libraries a digital collection of historic photographs documenting the geographic area of Alaska and the Canadian provinces of Yukon Territory and British Columbia. The collection features images of the Seward Peninsula, the Aleutian Islands, and areas of interest in Alaska and the Yukon Territory relating to the Gold Rush of 1898-1900. Included also are images of mining activities, street scenes, Eskimo and Native Americans of the region, hunting and fishing, transportation, and World War II installations.
    Colorado
    • Colorado's Historic Newspaper Collection (CHNC). (free) CHNC contains over 291,000 digitized pages that are searchable online. The relevance for Canadians is quite staggering... thousands of Canadians settled in Colorado. Still others ventured through Colorado on their way to settle in other points west.

Of Michigan The database contains over 50,000 records, including all Civil War soldiers buried in Michigan from any units, as well any Michigan soldiers that are buried anywhere. This extraordinary collection of 31,711 records is available here as a searchable online database, which contains a text record each ad that appeared in the Pilot.
