A wonderful local history peppered with genealogical and historical information about the community. Lots of pictures, illustrations and even maps with land holders listed on their lots.This book is an excellent read for anyone with an interest in Allan and District in Saskatchewan , Canada. This project was born in April 1979. Over twenty four hundred persons were contacted at least twice by mail and invited to write their family history. The results of this request are found in the chapter "Family Histories". The contributions made to complete this book have been from writing a single story to almost full time participation by some over a period of more than two years. In 1980, Saskatchewan celebrated its seventy-fifth birthday. Part of Allan and Districts' celebrations was the compiling of this book.
