The Drouin is more correctly known (in English) as the National Dictionary of French Canadians (1608 - 1760). It's familiar name of "Drouin" is after the name of the author . The work is the result of more than half of a century of research and work to compile over 2,000,000 records.

The CD contains all three volumes of the original work. Volumes one and two contain the marriage records, listed in alphabetical order and the third volume contains historical notes, coats of arms, and signatures....

The marriages records include the names of husband and wife, and the parents of both the bride and the groom, the date of the marriage and many records also include the parish of origin or the residence of the principles.
