BOOK - History of the Counties of Argenteuil, Quebec & Prescott, Ontario.
by: Cyrus Thomas.
Cyrus Thomas, educator and author, wrote this history of neighboring counties- one in Quebec, and one in Ontario- in 1896.
Beginning with a chapter on the Ottawa, the river that divides the two counties, Thomas continues with sketches on numerous topics including local government, militia, churches, religious and fraternal societies, business and industry, and manuscripts and oral tradition.
