BOOK - Newspaper Tidbits, Taken from Cornwall, Ontario Newspapers and Others, Genealogical Extractions 1835-1906
Compiled by Duncan MacDonald
Another book from Global Heritage Press Inc.

Duncan MacDonald, the compiler of the "Newspaper Tidbits" recorded in this book, collected newspaper clippings regarding Cornwall, Ontario, Canada families' for many years. It occurred to him that an indexed volume of transcriptions of those clippings would be of interest to others seeking their Cornwall roots. Oftentimes Mr. MacDonald found newspapers announcements of vital events such as birth, marriage, death that had escaped being recorded in a church register.

Newspapers from which clippings have been extracted include The Cornwall Observer, Cornwall Chronicle, Cornwall Constitutional, Cornwall Economist, Cornwall Advertiser, Cornwall Freeholder, Cornwall Gazette, Cornwall Reporter, plus extracts from other newspapers in Toronto, London England and several newspapers in the USA. Each entry identifies the origin and date of the original clipping.

This collection is not a complete record of all clippings of genealogical interest from Cornwall newspapers, however a significant number of early pioneers and their ancestors are included. Readers should first check the Index pages listed below, to determine if the person or persons that they seek are included.
