The County of Simcoe (map) had 23 enumeration districts (including Muskoka & Morrison Townships for this census) during the 1861 Census. This CD ROM contains the transcriptions for all 23 enumeration districts.

The enumeration districts were transcribed separately in book form. If you are only interested in one township, or prefer the information in printed form, scroll down and click on the name of the township that is of interest to you.

The CD (or books) contain an index as well as a transcript of the pages of the census as they appreared on the microfilm for the individual townships within Simcoe County.

Every name that was recorded in the 1861 census is included in the township book where the individuals were resident.

Records are on one CD ROM.
