The County of Simcoe (map) had 23 enumeration districts (including Muskoka & Morrison Townships for this census) during the 1861 Census.

This book contains an INDEX to all surnames for all townships in the County of Simcoe. The book is intended to help those who suspect that their family was from Simcoe County but who are unsure of which township they lived in.

The enumeration districts were transcribed separately and each book in this series containes an index for those from that township as well as a transcript of the pages of the census as they appreared on the microfilm for the individual townships within Simcoe County.
