BOOK - Campbellford Memorial Hospital, 50 Years of Care Beyond Compare.
By Anne Rowe, Campbellford / Seymour Heritage Society.

Campbellford Memorial Hospital, 50 Years of Care Beyond Compare, edited by Anne Rowe, covers the 50-year history of the Campbellford Memorial Hospital, a memorial to all the soldiers who died in World War II.

"The details of the history of the hospital tell all about it in ten-year intervals," said Rowe, about the book, "The book covers the doctors that worked at the hospital, the chairs of the board, and the presidents of the hospital." The book does not cover any medical cases, because they are protected by privacy.

"There was a committee established," Rowe said. "They decided a series of events that they thought should be celebrated."

Much of the book contains parts of another local history book, "Gleanings." The rest of the content was received through interviews from one of the former doctors, former administrators, and the president of the Campbellford branch of the Royal Canadian Legion at the time the hospital was built.
