About the Editor:
Born in Ottawa, Jennifer Grainger moved to London, Ontario in 1984. After a few years expanding her horizons while studying anthropology and history in Toronto and England, Jennifer moved back to London, Ontario.A study of old maps led Jennifer to realize countless communities have existed in the London area that no longer remain today. Jennifer's published work includes "Vanished Villages of Middlesex" (2002). "Vanished Villages of Elgin" (2008). The 2010 Mayor's New Year's Honour List includes Jennifer's name as the winner in the Heritage category, recognizing her many years volunteering for the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario, London Area Branch, and the London and Middlesex Historical Society.
