BOOK - 1861 Census of the Villages of Napanee, Newburg and Bath in Lennox & Addington County (Ontario, Canada)

This transcription, taken from the 1861 Census microfilm, is of the earliest existing census for these villages.

There was and 1851 Census of Napanee, but it has been lost. In the case of Newburg and Bath, the 1851 Census buries them in the respective Camden and Ernestown Township Census.

Existing B,M, & D records along with the 1857 Village directories, made it possible to include 160 maiden names and 22 recently deceased person.

An index of maiden names appears at the back of the book, along with a separate index of strays.
