BOOK - 1851 Census for Wolfe Island, including Garden and Simcoe Islands.
By Russ Waller, U.E.
The microfilmed Wolfe Island Personal Census of 1851 is not complete and has an entire section missing. The Agricultural census appears to be complete and by making use of this along with later censuses and other sources, it is hoped that when used in conjunction with the 1878 Map of the Township it will assist searchers in connecting and relating to many of the families.
It includes over 100 maiden names and a full index. It starts in the Village of Marysville, moving west through the Old Survey, then following the concession from west to east and north to south and ending with Garden and Simcoe Islands.
Contains references to Birth, Marriages or Deaths, Religion, (where noted) Birthplace (where noted) Townships, and Sources.
