BOOK - Inhabitants of Toronto, Ontario, 1846
By Norman K. Crowder

Coilbound... 9.95 (C$)

This book is intended to help fill the gap in Toronto publication records caused by the loss of Toronto Census records of 1848, 1850 and 1851-52. A city directory does not provide as much detail as the missing census records, especially at the 1851-52 census, which was the first comprehensive return showing all family members with their ages, religion, marital status, etc. The alphabetical listing in this publication is based on the Toronto portion of George Brown's 1846 directory of Toronto and Home district; the coverage is similar to that of the 1837 directory with the names, addresses and occupations of the Toronto inhabitants.

Soft Cover, Spiral Bound, 49pgs, ISBN 0-7779-0076-9
