The database offers fields for all of the basic information on the subject such as first and last names, age, place of residence and date of event, but also provides additional information such as parents' names, the name of the presiding cleric and cause of death. There is also a note field containing more detailed information provided in the newspaper entry. The database is very flexible, allowing for searches by any field or combination of fields. Births, Deaths & Marriages should be a valuable resource for many types of researchers including genealogists, medical and legal historians, cultural geographers and folklorists. Published 2004.
