Robert Irvine came to Quebec from Ireland (born about 1800
in either Irvine, Scotland or Ireland) with wife, Nancy "Ann(e)"
Kellock (Illat or Tetloch). Robert and 2 sons and a daughter died
in Quebec (no information on them at all) and Nancy "Ann(e)"
Irvine moved to Innisville (Drummond), Lanark County, Ontario possibly
around 1848 with her 2 sons, John Irvine born in Ireland in 1826
and Robert Irvine born in Quebec in 1837. Nancy "Ann(e)"
remarried to Moses Goodman on March 24, 1852 in the First Presbyterian
Church by Rev. Wm. Bell (Granny's Genealogy Garden). Nancy "Ann(e)"
passed away around Feb. 26, 1879 at age 69 and Moses died Dec. 31,
1878 at age 97. Any information on Moses Goodman would be a bonus.
2) Robert Irvine born 1837 in Quebec married Frances Prescott born
1842 and she died April 1887. They had 11 children: Henry born abt
1863, Lewis (Louis) born Jan. 23, 1865, Robert born Apr. 24, 1866,
Mary Edna born Feb. 15, 1868, Eliza Ann born Aug 17, 1869, William
born 1871 died Nov. 2, 1893, Elizabeth, John born Oct 11, 1874,
Wellington born Mar. 10, 1880, Annie Louise born Mar. 10, 1881,
Thomas Ernest born Jul. 7, 1884 and Frances born 1885. He later
remarried to Mary Jessie Harkness Pat(t)erson. She already had a
son, George W. Pat(t)erson. Together Robert and Mary had a son David
Stewart (Stewart David) born Sept. 1890 and died Jan. 1909.
Any information on these families that remained in Lanark County
would be very helpful. Thanks.
