Membership in LCGS/ Newsletter Info:

LCGS is a registered charity. Only donations to LCGS beyond the annual membership fees are tax deductable. Receipts will be issued automatically for donations $25.00 and over; receipts for amounts between $10.00 and $24.99 will be sent only on request.

Our newsletter the "Lanark Log" will be sent to members 8 times per year. These newsletters include interesting articles & queries submitted by our members requesting information on families and places within Lanark County.
Submissions to the newsletter (ie: family histories, articles, surname queries) are always welcome. Please submit your items no later than the 15th of each month to be included in the next edition of the Lanark Log.

LCGS individual and family membership annual fee is $20.00. Membership includes a postal subscription or email subscription to the LCGS newsletter (8 issues per year) and the opportunity to place your family research interests in the newsletter. If you also wish to be a member of the Ontario Genealogical Society please contact them directly.

Memberships run from January to December. Those joining after January also receive the back issues of the current year's newsletters. The one exception is for those joining in November -- their membership is extended for the next year.

Please remember, memberships are due in January of each year.
